Steve Nowak has joined Aleman & Associates and is the head of our Estate Planning Department. Steve grew up in the Philadelphia suburbs and relocated to Delaware to attend the University of Delaware. He earned his B.A in Business (Marketing) and attended Widener University School of Law, where he was a note and comment editor for the law review, the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law. He graduated from Widener cum laude and comes to us with vast experience, including managing his own firm and serving as the managing attorney for the Kent County office of a successful real estate/estate planning law firm.
Steve’s publications include “Rappa v. New Castle County: Implications for Local Governmental Regulation of Free Speech in the Public Forum,” 14 St. Louis U. Pub. L. Rev. 551 (1995), and Comment: “Schreiber v. Burlington Northern, Inc.: Misrepresentation as a Necessary Element of a Section 14(e) Cause of Action”, 12 Del.J.Corp.L. 645 (1987).
Steve takes pride in his beautiful family, which includes 3 children and 2 rescue dogs (sister lab mixes). When he isn’t thoughtfully drafting documents for clients or assisting with estate planning and asset alignment, Steve can be found hiking the Appalachian Trail, enjoying the outdoors and exploring our National Parks.
