Christy Calderon, Legal Assistant

Christy joined Aleman & Associates in July of 2023 and comes to us with quite a bit of real estate experience. She was an assistant for local LINDA VISTA Real Estate agent, Mirla Aleman, and enjoyed helping clients find their first or next home. She also worked part time for Aleman Fitzgerald Properties, LLC, as an assistant property manager, and helped manage a portfolio of properties reaching 300 units.  In addition to real estate, Christy has entrepreneurship blood running through her veins.  She assists with the administrative tasks of Doña Maria’s Pupuseria, an award winning Salvadoran restaurant in Downtown Seaford, which is currently owned by her parents.

Christy is currently attending the University of Delaware under the Associate in Arts Program to receive her Associates degree. She plans to continue pursuing her law studies to become a paralegal. Helping out at the firm is her passion and she wouldn’t change it for the world.

Although Christy is a newer legal assistant, she learns incredibly fast and currently helps out in the office by communicating frequently with all parties in real estate transactions.  It is Christy’s job to support the paralegals and to ensure that everyone in a transaction is set for closing day.

Christy is passionate about helping people, especially Hispanics since she has a Hispanic cultural background. At a young age, she would help by translating at her school, and making sure that newer Spanish speaking students would feel welcomed and integrated into the school environment. She loves working at Aleman & Associates and looks forward to growing with our team!

Christy currently resides in Bridgeville with her Family. When she isn’t working at the office, she likes to spend time with her Family, build legos (she is currently building an entire collection), going out with friends, and spending time with her cousin Mateo, whom she treats like her own son. Christy enjoys traveling, especially to her home countries, El Salvador and Guatemala, where she gets to spend time together with her extended Family.
